Time For One More Before The WiFi

Hello fam.

I want to say that I enjoy sharing my miniscule ideas of brilliance with all of you. I've got some great hip hop stuff lined up to do this week and next, so it's gonna be a good time to check the blog. I'll of course tag all the fam members in each post as always.

For this post though, I wanted to tell you guys about a rather scary day that I had yesterday. I briefly touched on it with a couple of you today, but this will really help me by sharing it with all of you.

To start off, you need to keep in mind that I've moved twice now in the same year. Been through hella shit with my family. Grandma's dementia worsening and now to the nursing home.

What happened last night was inevitable now that I can look back on it less than 24 hours later. I was stuck in the house for two days because of snow and ice, so I was trapped here. Even with the person I love the most, not being able to leave for even the smallest of things was akin to a prison not of my own choosing.

So yesterday, we did some running, went to Mom's so Callista could do homework, then back to our old home to drop off our friends dog that we watched while they were away on vacation, then to our old house to pick up clothes and music related things.

Callista told me that on the car ride out there she could tell that I was having a spell. She said I was talking endlessly and my hands were moving all over the place. Told me later that it didn't bother her because she's been with me long enough to know what to expect.

We stopped when we got back into town for groceries and to help mom with a few things. I literally told her when I was done that I wanted to get out of there, because I got quite irritated with my mother for ignoring me when we there for just a few minutes. I snapped, said my I love you's and stormed out the door and back to our new home.

Part of the story that I must've left out was that when we went to pick up stuff from the old house there was a box of Christmas presents from Callista's family. We weren't expecting anything from them, considering how tense things have been recently.

So, when we got home and unloaded everything from the car, we sat down in our bed with our gifts and opened them all, a week before Christmas. Everything they got us was meaningful and needed since we are just barely moved into our apartment.

It was after we opened presents that I literally started crashing due to exhaustion. I started getting really cold and my body was covered in goosebumps. Callista really helped me by holding me tight and getting me into the shower so I could get warm. Even got me a clean change of clothes, and when I asked her for some chocolate milk, she instead surprised me with hot cocoa.

So we laid there for a bit, listening to Mary J. Blige and just talked. Then we eventually nodded off for a while. I woke up a few hours later, freezing again. Fortunately since Callista was asleep, I ended up talking to my good friend Isa in Europe for a while. She was quite helpful and supportive, as she always is. Love you fam.

Today I'm pretty tired because I didn't get much sleep, but I'm feeling much better overall, so I gotta say it's been a good day.
