Why Others Are Important

Good morning all.

I wanted to write a new post on mental health yesterday but just wasn't feeling it.

However, sometimes things always work out in their own time.

I have a close friend who really needed me last night and helping this person feel better about themselves really helped a lot in regards to the feelings I was having about coming to grips with some recent events.

Sharing your story and experiences with others is so important. You may think at certain points that you have nothing to give, yet you really have so much.

Remember in kindergarten when they told us that sharing is caring? Maybe that's why they say that we learned everything we know in kindergarten.

I have got so much just by sharing with all of you. Telling stories of my my life experiences, going back to places where I refused to go before. Dealing with things I was ashamed about.

We all have a voice.

You may not think you have much, but you really have everything.

They say what doesn't kill you actually makes you stronger. It may sound cliche in the time we live in, but there's a lot of truth to it.

Traumatizing experiences and how we handle them while continuing to live everyday and be productive shows how strong we are. I know many of you have had those experiences, and it helps feeling like you're in an environment to share them.

If there's one thing I can truly say that I have to give all of you, it's genuine compassion and love. Sharing that with people is the greatest gift anyone can give.

I've heard a few people say that they love our little crew.

When I got behind the DJ controls Sunday, it was for every one of you. When I write, it's for all of you.

You guys have shown me that it's okay to be me, and if that's not love, then I don't know what is.

People used to tell me that I was too grateful. I always say that it's because of some of the humbling experiences I've had.

You can never be too grateful. I always want all of you to know every day how great you are. It helps us all.

And that is genuine compassion and love.

One love to all of you.
